Magic Truffles are in the biological sense no mushrooms. They are sclerotia of the Stropharma cubensis mushroom. Sclerotia are giant vital spores.
From the biological point of view, all Magic Truffles are the same. Differences are created for marketing reasons by using different substrates, food colors and duration for growing.
The differences in the potency stem from the fact that the active substance decomposes in the fresh harvested magic truffle – even when stored inside the fridge. After about 3-4, the potency tends towards zero.
Only inside dry Magic Truffles the active substance is preserved for a long time, but dry Magic Truffles are not easy to use for high dosing
